ICC Twenty20 worldcup cricket begins in England on 5th June 2009.The Home of Cricket' [Lords] will host the opening affair would be between England and Netherlands.

As per the schedule of 2009 ICC Twenty20 World Cup, the opening match as well as the final will be played at Lord's (London). One of the semi-finals will take place at Kennington Oval (London), while the other will have Trent Bridge (Nottingham). Trent Bridge beat Old Trafford Cricket Ground as the third venue for ICC T20 World Cup 2009, mainly because of its closer proximity to the two London venues - Lord?s and Kennington.

A 27 match tournament whose matches will be starting mainly at 2 different timings (5pm & 1.30pm according to UK timing) and to be played at only 3 stadiums across England.

Note that the final match will be played 2 hours earlier than usual night matches and Nottingham is the ground which is also known as Trent Bridge which is one of 3 venues in England hosting this cricket tournament.
